The actress, guest of Mara Venier on “Domenica In”, talked about living with chronic pain: “The doctors didn’t believe me, but I couldn’t even wash myself”
Dalila Di Lazzaro is back on TV. In the latest episode of “Domenica In,” the actress spoke about the trauma that forced her to bed for years. It all started after a motorcycle accident. «Twenty-five years ago I closed the games – he explained, looking Mara Venier in the eye -. The doctors didn’t believe me. I don’t know why but they didn’t believe me and that’s a very serious thing because they didn’t talk about chronic pain at the time and that’s a terrible thing. I had broken the atlas, and not in a disorderly way. They didn’t give me an important x-ray that can only be seen from the mouth. They kept taking X-rays from my neck down. I was bedridden for 11 years. Never, never, never get up. Not even to wash myself. I ate lying down.”

Words that moved the presenter, who cried to tears and was happy to find her friend in a television studio (“Now when I came to visit you at home, I always found you either in bed or on the sofa. I asked you to come visit me here on “Domenica In” for at least three years, but you said to me: I can’t do it, I can’t take the train or the plane”. That’s why I’m so happy to see you here today»). Words of affection and tears, accompanied by a hug from Di Lazzaro, who, however, then added: “Unfortunately, it’s not over yet. I wish I didn’t have people’s pity. I’m combative, strong, I want to help thousands of people living with I am struggling with chronic pain and I want to use my strength to continue this problem.
