Alongside the touching pictures she wrote: “For you, mom.” Today's performance was dedicated to the memory of my beautiful mother, Jackie Roberts. 09/01/62 – 01/04/24.
“I didn't want to say anything until I was done with our routine tonight.” So I'm sorry if it seemed like I was overly emotional.
“My heart is broken and I miss my mother so much.” Saying goodbye to her this week was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. My mom got to witness the start of our routine…and tonight I wanted to end it in her honor.
'To my family. Thank you for holding my head up and giving me the strength to carry on. Thank you also to all the amazing people who helped us say goodbye to her this week. You brought us so much comfort by being by our side.
“Thank you to the entire incredible Dancing On Ice team for supporting me through one of the hardest weeks of my life.” Especially you.
I know how much you wanted to help me make my mother proud, and I know it would have been on your mind all night. You are amazing.
“Thank you for teaching me to dance and skate and giving me the joy of expressing emotions through my body.” Your sport is so beautiful. I still can't believe tonight happened.
“Thank you to every single person who has supported us so far.” We are absolutely overwhelmed by your encouragement and kindness. Mark and I are truly grateful and promise to continue to do our best and give 100%.

She wowed the “Dancing On Ice” jury on Sunday evening and achieved the highest score of the series so far.
The 44-year-old DJ broke down in tears as the judges announced her score of 27.5 for her debut routine with partner Mark Hanretty.
Adele gave an emotional introduction to the show, describing the reason for joining as “a celebration of life” after her battle with bowel cancer.
The pair skated to the song “Clearly” by Grace VanderWaal, but there was a moment of uncertainty when Mark slipped on the ice and fell briefly.
Judge Christopher Dean joked about the fall during his judging, saying he scored Adele 7.0 and 6.0.

Adele's friend Kate Holderness cried as she joined others in giving the couple a standing ovation.
Commenting on her emotional performance, she said: “What an absolute dream, everything I've been through was worth it for this moment.”
Mark called Adele “inspirational” in her pre-routine, explaining: “I've never skated with someone who had a stoma and literally had a hole in their stomach.”
Adele called her partner “a gentleman” and explained that he had to be gentle when he picked me up.
Adele was first diagnosed with colon cancer in October 2021 and documented her treatment on social media, which included colostomy surgery to remove a colon tumor and the fitting of an ostomy bag.
As well as being a huge fan of the series, Adele also said: “Another reason I wanted to do it too is because lately I'm able to get my body back after what it's been through.”
“I feel like it allows me to become who I am again.”
The former Radio 1 presenter also spoke candidly about the precautions taken to allow her to perform on the ice with her stoma.

Of her emotional performance, she said: “What an absolute dream, everything I've been through was worth it for this moment.”
“As a newbie to the world of stomas, I didn’t really know what to expect. I noticed that Audrey, I call it, doesn’t like the ice cream.”
“She is very calm. Actually, she was a joy. I noticed that because I have a hole on the right side of my torso, I no longer have a center where it used to be.
Adele, who was paired with pro Mark Hanretty, admitted she had to “relearn” how to handle her body and said it was still quite difficult to turn her stomach.
“I really, really have to think about my movement on the ice, but it helped me connect with my body, so it was a blessing too.”
In 2022, Adele was filmed at home with her partner Kate helping the star change her ostomy bag – a candid moment that was praised by viewers.
Adele announced in an October 2021 Instagram post that she was diagnosed with stage 2 cancer and underwent colostomy surgery to remove an intestinal tumor later that same year.
After Kate changed her stoma bag, Adele told her friend, “I can't believe I went to the toilet before you,” to which Kate explained to her, “I don't see it that way and explained that she sees it.” Ostomy as a “separate entity…it’s like changing our baby.”
At the end of the segment, Adele thanked Kate for “accepting my new body” right at the start of her cancer journey.
