Dave Chappelle criticized Katt Williams for attacking black comedians in his viral Club Shay Shay interview.
The 50-year-old former Comedy Central star — who stormed off the stage last month — brought up Katt, 52, while appearing at MonDeRays at the Hollywood Improv on Friday night.
A clip emerged X, in which Chappelle said, “What part of the game is this?” He aired n****s. He didn't say anything about any of those white boys. “None of these white boys work like that.”
Further emphasizing his point, the longtime comedian added, “Katt is one of the best painters in the game.” So why are you drawing ugly pictures of us? To stop. “Hurt people hurt people, but I’m a hurt person who never hurts people, and he does it all the time.”
The sit-down conversation between host Shannon Sharpe and Williams was widely shared online and was even parodied on the latest episode of Saturday Night Live.

Chappelle posed as Katt Williams and said, “Fuck this one, and fuck that one, and fuck that one.”
Then he added: “But, n***a, I didn't hear anything you did wrong.” He didn't do anything wrong?
“Katt didn’t do anything wrong? … Katt talked about things n****s did to other n****s, but not anything n****s did to him.” .'
As the tirade continued, the Washington native said, “If I told my story, it would break your heart.”
“I've lost everything and never told anyone, and this guy decides the truth.” Katt, listen, I'm fucking Katt hard, but… tell me, what part of the game screws up another guy's paper? What part of the game is about telling another n***a?'
He admitted that Katt's statements were true when he noted, “He tells the real shit,” before asking, “But why would you say that?” [when] “We’re all trying to be in a better situation?”
Dave defended a particular comedian that Katt had mentioned in the provocative one-on-one with Sharpe.
In a swipe, he said of Cedric the Entertainer – whom Williams accused of stealing jokes – that it “wouldn't make sense” for him to steal punchlines because he was “old and fat,” according to a TMZ report. Report.

Tiffany Haddish was another comedian who responded after the Club Shay Shay interview was published.
She responded to Katt's statement: “Guy Torry did a beautiful special on The Comedy Store and Phat Tuesday where he said Steve.” [Harvey] and Cedric [The Entertainer]Kevin Hart and Tiffany Haddish got through there – which he said was “all lies.”
Tiffany clapped back during a show in Florida in early January: “I did so much shit. 'I was on That's So Raven.'
“I’ve been on white TV shows” and “black TV shows,” she revealed as she read out her resume. “I’ve been telling jokes since 1996.”
