Deborra-Lee Furness has revealed she is both excited and scared about her future after her shocking split from husband Hugh Jackman in September.
The Australian actress says she has “big plans” for her post-split career and is ready for change.
“It's kind of exciting,” the 68-year-old told Adelaide Now this week about the direction her life will take in the future.
“You know what, change, transition, evolution is a little scary and we're all a little afraid of it, but I think it's probably our greatest gift,” she added.
Deb returns to the big screen in Force of Nature: The Dry 2, starring alongside Eric Bana in the sequel to the hit 2020 mystery film.

“I have a few.” [projects] “I have a script up my sleeve that I want to direct and star in with Rebecca Rigg,” she said in an interview with Yahoo Lifestyle.
“And who knows, there could be retaliation from the character I play.” [in Force of Nature].
“Hey, maybe another sequel to a character I played in Shame many years ago,” she added.
This comes after the Correlli actress ended her marriage to her husband Hugh Jackman.

“We have been fortunate to spend nearly three decades together in a wonderful, loving marriage,” the couple said in a statement obtained by PEOPLE.
“Our journey is now changing and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth.”

“We thank you very much for your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition.”
The former couple signed the statement “Deb and Hugh Jackman” and added: “This is the only statement either of us will make.”
The couple tied the knot in 1996 after crossing paths on the set of Correlli in 1995.
Over the course of their marriage, they adopted two children: son Oscar, 23, and daughter Ava, 18.
