Netflix hit The Crown has garnered critical acclaim and huge ratings for portraying royal crises, but now the show’s producers are facing one of their own.
Because I can tell you they’re still desperately looking for a teenage actor to play Prince William in the much-anticipated final series, with filming set to begin in just a few weeks.
Casting director Robert Sterne has published a final appeal on show business websites and asked suitable candidates to get in touch.
“The Crown is looking for an exceptional young actor to play Prince William in the next series,” the ad reads. “This is a significant role in this award-winning drama and we are looking for a strong physical resemblance. Filming will begin in early September.”
To broaden the field of potential candidates, the ad emphasizes, “No professional acting experience is required. We are very experienced in providing great support to the young actors and their families through a creative process that is uniquely rewarding for them.’
