EU Commission proposes cars running on pure electric fuel in combustion dispute

In the dispute for the end of combustion engines from 2035, the EU Commission has addressed the critics. The Commission wants to continue to allow cars with combustion engines, as long as they can only be fueled with so-called e-fuels, according to a regulatory proposal by the Brussels authorities, presented this Tuesday to the Portal news agency. The proposal was submitted to the Ministry of Transport. The prerequisite must be that, from a purely technical point of view, the new category of vehicles can only be operated on synthetic fuels generated with the help of electricity. According to the project, cars should be able to recognize when they have been filled with gasoline or diesel and then automatically switch off. This type class could also be re-registered after 2035.
