EU President shocked by the deaths of civilians in Gaza

The head of the European executive said in a statement: “I am deeply shocked by the images from Gaza.” “Everything must be done to clarify the incident and ensure transparency.”

However, in his text he avoids blaming Israel for what happened and does not explicitly refer to the hundreds of civilian deaths.

Rather, he emphasized that humanitarian aid “is a lifeline for those in need and access to it must be guaranteed.”

In addition, he stressed the need to support civilians and called for their protection in accordance with international law.

According to Gaza authorities, more than 100 people died in a Tel Aviv attack on a group of people waiting for food in Gaza City.
