In an interview she gave to the American website Fandago a few days ago, the 27-year-old actress said she is already ready to work with the Quebec filmmaker again for a third film.
Recall that a few months ago Denis Villeneuve announced that the writing of the script for a third Dune film – which would be based on the novel “The Messiah of Dune” – was almost completed. Meanwhile, the second part of the saga, Dune: Part II, hits theaters on March 1st.
“Will I be ready for this? Of course!” Zendaya responded without hesitation when asked if she would be willing to star in a third Dune film.
“Every time, Denis [Villeneuve] Call, it's a yes from me. I'm excited to see what's going to happen…it's just anticipation. I know Denis is a perfectionist in many ways and doesn't want to share things until they're finished. I respect that and will wait until he’s ready.”
A second film better than the first?
A few weeks ago, during a press conference for the release of Dune: Part II in South Korea, Denis Villeneuve suggested that the second part of the saga is a “much better film” than the first chapter, which will be released in autumn 2021.
“There is something more alive [dans le deuxième film]emphasized the Quebec director.
“I achieved an intensity and a quality of emotion that I hadn't achieved with the first film. I'm not saying the film is perfect, but I'm happier with the second part than the first part. I can’t wait to share it with fans and moviegoers.”
