At 57%, more than half of respondents are against the EU’s intended ban on new registrations of passenger cars with combustion engines from 2035, only 26% are in favor of it. Rejection is well above the overall average for men (63%), over 30s (61%), people living in rural areas (65%) and families with children at home (67%). Only Green and NEOS voters are in favor of banning internal combustion engines from 2035.
