Ariana Grande and her husband Dalton Gomez have parted ways after just two years of marriage.
The 30-year-old singer and the 27-year-old real estate agent have been separated since January 2023 and are now facing divorce, an insider told earlier this week.
Ariana deleted her May 2021 wedding photos from her Instagram and has been spotted ringless for the past few days after her reps confirmed the split.
About two years after their wedding anniversary, they decided to split, following in the footsteps of stormy celebrity marriages that sadly have not stood the test of time.
From Britney Spears and Jason Alexander’s 55-hour marriage to Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries’ 72-day marriage, Web takes a look at every short-lived celebrity romance.

BRITNEY SPEARS AND JASON ALEXANDER – 55 HOURS
Britney Spears and Jason Alexander were childhood friends who tied the knot on a whim in the early hours of January 3, 2004.
The couple, just 22 at the time, celebrated an intimate ceremony at the Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas, Nevada.
However, their marriage was annulled just 55 hours later and their short-lived connection is now notorious.
Jason later claimed that her cancellation was coerced by Britney’s mother, Lynne, and the star’s management.
After the annulment, Britney said in an interview, “I was silly and rebellious.”
In June 2022, Alexander disrupted hours before Britney’s wedding to Sam Asghari – leading to his arrest and conviction for trespassing and assault.
Eleven months after the wedding fell apart, Jason himself remarried to Rebecca Bell on March 27, 2023.

NICOLAS CAGE AND ERIKA KOIKE – FOUR DAYS
Nicolas Cage and his fourth wife Erika Koike tied the knot on March 23, 2019 in Las Vegas after a year of dating.
However, there seemed to be trouble with the union almost immediately, and hours after the wedding they were spotted arguing outside the Bellagio Hotel.
Just four days later, Nicolas filed legal documents requesting the annulment of his marriage to Erika, who also agreed it was a “mistake”.
Erika later resisted Nick’s hope to have their marriage annulled and filed a request for spousal maintenance. TMZ claimed Nicolas was unable to get the annulment but managed to get a divorce.
Nicolas had claimed the union was based on fraud because Erika failed to disclose her criminal record and her relationship with another person.
However, Erika claimed that her reputation was damaged by Nicolas and that she missed out on career opportunities, and also claimed that his claims that the marriage was based on cheating were false.
Three months after their wedding and split, the former couple were officially granted a divorce on May 31, 2019 after Nicolas claimed he was “too drunk” to get married.

DREW BARRYMORE AND JEREMY THOMAS – ABOUT 40 DAYS
Drew Barrymore first tied the knot in 1994 at the age of 19, but his marriage to bartender Jeremy Thomas lasted less than six weeks.
Their whirlwind romance began when she met then 31-year-old Jeremy at an LA bar they owned and they decided to wed after just six weeks of dating.
The couple married on March 20, 1994, but officially separated just six weeks later and the divorce was finalized in 1995.
“Typically people live together first and then get married,” Drew told People shortly after their marriage. “I guess we’ll do it the old-fashioned way.” Sort of.’
Speaking to Rolling Stone in 1995 after their split, Drew said, “We were married for six weeks and only together for about two days.” It was such a joke.’
Drew’s second marriage to her Charlie’s Angels co-star Tom Green in 2001 fell through almost as quickly, and the couple split five months later.
She then married art consultant Will Kopelman in 2012, but after three years together, the two decided to go their separate ways in 2016. They share two daughters, Frankie and Olive.

KIM KARDASHIAN AND KRIS HUMPHRIES – 72 DAYS
In 2011, Kim Kardashian was briefly married to basketball player Kris Humphries for 72 days.
They started dating in October 2010 and got engaged in May 2011 before tying the knot in a whirlwind romance a few months later.
Her wedding preparations were telecast ahead of the big day in August 2011 on Kim’s Fairytale Wedding: A Kardashian Event to millions of viewers.
However, Kim filed for divorce from Kris just 72 days later, citing irreconcilable differences.
The pair have since both spoken out about their whirlwind romance, with Kim recounting how Kris asked for an annulment because he didn’t want the marriage “on his files.”
“If I was mature, I would have wanted annulment as well,” Kim said while reflecting on their brief marriage in June 2021.
She also revealed that while she was discussing a Keeping Up With The Kardashians reunion with Andy Cohen, she owed Kris an apology for not breaking up with him very nicely.
“I just didn’t know how to deal with it,” she said, adding that she tried to call him for months afterwards.
Kim said she knew it wasn’t going to work out when they came to Italy for their honeymoon and admitted she thought she made the “wrong decision”.
She said she felt the pressure to tie the knot because she “didn’t want to let everyone down,” and described the honeymoon as “miserable.”
“If you have cold feet, it’s not because of that,” she added.
Meanwhile, in a March 2019 essay, Kris admitted that it bothers him when people call his marriage to Kim “fake.”
He wrote, “There’s definitely a lot in this world that isn’t entirely real.” But our actual relationship was 100 percent real.”

NICOLAS CAGE AND LISA MARIE PRESLEY – 107 DAYS
Nicolas Cage and Lisa Marie Presley married in 2002 before separating just four months later.
They first met at a party in 2000 when Lisa was engaged to musician John Oszajca, but she broke off their romance and started dating the Hollywood actor.
Nicolas has opened up about how he was “shot by lightning” when she met her at the party and that their turbulent relationship has been one of highs followed by turbulent fights, along with rumors that Nicolas was planning to buy her father Elvis’ Graceland mansion.
They married in 2002 but filed for divorce after just 108 days, and Lisa described the relationship as a “wild ride” in a 2003 interview with Rolling Stone.
She said, “You can’t throw a tantrum and then call me four days later and expect everything to be fine … so it was … Basically, we were both like two 12-year-olds in a sandbox.”
“We’re both so dramatic and dynamic that when it was good it was incredibly good and when it was bad it was a bloody nightmare for everyone.”
Despite the notoriously short marriage, it was almost two years before they divorced.
Nicolas paid tribute to his late ex-wife following her tragic death aged 54 in January and said how “heartbroken” he was at the news of her death.
He said, “This is devastating news.” Lisa had the biggest laugh of anyone I’ve ever met. “She lit up every room and it breaks my heart.”

DENNIS RODMAN AND CARMEN ELECTRA – FIVE MONTHS
Dennis Rodman and Carmen Electra began dating in 1998 and tied the knot in Las Vegas in November of that year.
After their tumultuous nuptials, NBA star Dennis filed an annulment just nine days later, claiming he was mentally disturbed during the ceremony.
However, the couple later briefly reconciled before officially divorcing in March 1999, about 130 days after the wedding ceremony.
Dennis opened up about his brief marriage to model Carmen in his autobiography I Should Be Dead By Now earlier this year, saying their romance is “unreal.”
“It was different with Carmen. “It was nice to be with someone who is waiting for the right time, the right place, the right time,” Rodman explained.
Unveiling the details of a specific date, he reveals, “We went out for sushi, we came home, we lay on the bed and we looked at each other and we talked, we talked, we talked.”
“She was there four or five days, sleeping in my house, in my bed, and we never made love.” It was unreal.’
Carmen has also recalled the ups and downs of their relationship over the years, telling how he disappeared for days, usually while he was partying.
“There were those moments of ‘Where’s Dennis?’ Electra remembered. “Other team members would worry if he ran away and they couldn’t find him.”
“There were times when we all went to a few bars and then we all tried to get Dennis to go back to the hotel. He would just run away and leave us. There was nothing we could do.’
Kim married Kanye West in 2014 before they split last year, while Kris has not remarried since.

Jennifer Lopez and Cris Judd met in late 2000 when he was hired to dance in her music video for Love Don’t Cost A Thing.
Their stormy relationship developed very quickly and the two were married on September 29, 2001.
However, their romance didn’t last long and they split in June 2002, just nine months after their wedding. The divorce became official the following year.
In 2019, actor Cris shared that he’s “so far away” from his relationship with Jennifer but wished her the best.
In a video released by TooFab, Cris said of his ex-wife, “Man, I’m so far from her.”
“I did, gosh, you know, I wish her nothing but the best,” he added.
In June 2019, Jennifer also revealed in a YouTube video that her marriage to Cris “doesn’t count” and dismissed their marriage because of its short duration.
She also renounced her marriage to her first husband, Ojani Noa, to whom she was equally married for just nine months in 1998.
She shared, “I’ve never been married in a church and I’ve been married three times, and once it was nine months and once it was 11 months, so I don’t really count those.”
Jennifer married Marc Anthony in 2014 and they were together for seven years before splitting in 2011. She has since reunited with her former fiancé Ben Affleck and the couple tied the knot last year.
In November 2009, Cris married Kelly A. Wolfe in Laguna Beach, California and in September 2013 they had a daughter, Vivienne.
