Together with her partner, the Australian Max Purcell, she lost in the second round of this competition with 2:6, 7:5 and 10:7 against the Australians John-Patrick Smith and Lizette Cabrera.

The Maple Leaf representative’s team was dominant in the early stages of the game, winning 100% of games played on first serve. However, Dabrowski and Purcell could not keep up the pace and their rivals opened the machine at key moments in the meeting.

The Canadian and her partner were the eighth seed in mixed doubles.

Dabrowski still competes in women’s doubles and works with Mexican Giuliana Olmos. Both women are the third seed and have reached the third round. On Monday they meet the Americans Caroline Dolehide and Anna Kalinskaya.
