Hollywood star Glen Powell made a surprise appearance on “Saturday Night Live” last night to put to rest any dating rumors between him and “Anyone But You” co-star Sydney Sweeney.
Sweeney, 26, who hosted the show, revealed that Powell, 35, was in the audience during her opening monologue, in which she “addressed some things I've seen about myself online.”

“I once said that I used to work at Universal Studios and then someone online accused me of lying about it, which is crazy,” the “White Lotus” alum said. “If I didn't work there, how would I know all the Universal characters like 'Shock', 'The Monions' and 'Harry Porter'?”
Next, Sweeney addressed “a woman on TikTok.” [who] went viral for claiming she was my nutritionist,” adding that she stays in shape by running, avoiding sugar and “doing Ozempic.”
Finally, the “Madame Web” actress addressed what she called the “craziest rumor” about her, which is that “I had an affair with my co-star Glen Powell while filming 'Anyone But You.' .”
“That’s obviously not true,” Sweeney said. “My fiancé and I co-produced the film and he was there throughout filming and I just want to let everyone know that he is the man of my dreams and we are still together and stronger than ever.”
“He even came here tonight to support me. Can we cut to him?” The “Euphoria” star continues as the camera switches to Powell, triggering an outpouring of laughter and applause from the crowd.
“Yes, no, that’s not my fiancé. He's in my dressing room!” she said, referring to her real-life fiancé Jonathan Davino, before ending her monologue.

The duo later continued to poke fun at the alleged relationship when they both appeared in a skit in which the “Top Gun: Maverick” actor attempts to steal Sweeney from her boyfriend.
In the skit, Sweeney and Andrew Dismukes are seen sitting down next to two rowdy tables for dinner.
After silencing both tables, Dismukes, 28, turns to Sweeney and asks, “You told me something happened at work today?”
“I cheated on you with my boss and I think we should break up,” Sweeney’s character replies.
At that moment, Powell enters and asks, “Hey Babycakes, do you want to get out of here?” before they both leave.
Rumors that Sweeney and Powell were dating began circulating shortly after he ended his relationship with Gigi Paris, when the two stars were spotted getting cozy on the set of their hit romantic comedy.
Sweeney has been engaged to Davino, 40, since 2022. In May, she wore her engagement ring for the first time in almost a year.
“Glen and I don’t really care,” Sweeney told Variety about the rumors. “We have so much fun together and we respect each other so much; He’s such a hard worker and I’m a hard worker.”
Powell also spoke out about the claims in an interview with Men's Health.
“When this all happened in public it felt confusing and unfair. But I realize that now that’s just part of this gig,” he said in November 2023.
