Golfer Tiger Woods, who was still struggling with pain after his car crash in 2021, underwent another operation on his right leg on Wednesday.

“Tiger underwent subtalar arthrodesis earlier this morning to treat post-traumatic arthritis from his previous talus fracture,” the 47-year-old’s entourage tweeted.
The operation that Woods underwent fused bones in the area of the foot between the tibia and fibula. Since his accident, he has often complained of pain in his back and right leg.
The American “is currently recovering and is eagerly awaiting the start of his rehabilitation,” it said. No date has been announced for a return to action at this time.
Winner of 15 Majors, he’s only played in a handful of PGA Tour events in 2023. Notably, he competed in the Masters tournament earlier this month and had to retire in the third round due to injury.
