Harry Potter star Chris Rankin is engaged! Actor pops the question to partner Ness Beecroft during a trip to Florida
Harry Potter actor Chris Rankin has announced he’s engaged to longtime partner Ness Beecroft after popping the question during a trip to Florida.
The 38-year-old actor, who played Percy Weasley in the film franchise, shared his news with his 55.4k Instagram followers via a sweet post on Thursday night.
The happy couple gushed about Ness having “become engaged” and posed for a love snap while showing off the sparkling ring.

Chris wrote alongside the snap of him and his now-fiancée posing on a balcony: “Good news! I asked @nessabeecroft if she would be interested in becoming a fiancé and she seemed okay with the idea.
A red love heart emoji then followed the caption, with the post connecting between the couple’s two accounts.
The actor’s followers – including some of his Harry Potter co-stars – were quick to comment on their congratulatory message to the couple.

The couple have been together for six years, with Chris previously married to ex Megan Walker.
While it’s unknown how they met, the actor fondly recalled in 2020: “When you’re not looking for something, the one thing you didn’t know you were missing shows up and makes everything right. ”
Since his time with the JK Rowling-based franchise, Chris has now worked in television and film production.
Most recently he worked on the production side of the fantasy adventure program Atlantis, the period drama Downton Abbey and Sky’s A Discovery of Witches.
