Even popular singer Harry Styles is susceptible to the flu.

The 28-year-old “As It Was” singer took to social media on Saturday night to announce the postponement of three concerts in Los Angeles after falling ill.

“Towards the end of the show on Wednesday I got sick and have been in bed with the flu ever since. I did everything I could to sing tonight but I’m leaving the doctor now I’m devastated that it’s just not possible,” Styles wrote in an Instagram Story.

Styles continued, sharing how “devastated” he is to have to postpone the shows that are part of his 15-day stint at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles.

“Until recently, in the 12 years I’ve been touring, I haven’t had to reschedule a show due to illness. I’m so sorry and if there was a chance to do the show I would I’m sorry that this news comes so close to the show time but it was my sincere hope to play for you tonight he shared. “I know some of you have planned trips to LA to see the show and it means the absolute world to me.”

Styles later shared that the three shows on November 5, 6, and 7 would be moved to January 26, 27, and 29 next year.

“Everything else will go as planned. I can’t wait to see you then and I’m so sorry,” he concluded, signing the note, “Love, -H.”

Just a few days ago, Styles posted a behind-the-scenes look at Instagram as he prepares for the concerts.

“Love On Tour. Los Angeles VII November 2022,” he captioned a photo of himself pacing backstage dressed in a blue and red sequin striped top and brown leather pants.

Styles has been playing at warp speed lately. At last week’s Halloween show at The Forum, renamed Harryween, the glam pop superstar took the stage in front of a crowd of 18,000 fans, many in costume, and told them: “Please feel free , whoever you want to be in tonight,” Yahoo Entertainment previously reported. Styles never missed an opportunity to dress up, channeling his inner John Travolta and going full Grease. Wearing a black leather biker jacket, a black Harryween muscle tee, bobby socks and a shoeshine black pompadour wig, Styles belted out the ballad “Hopeless Devoted to You.”

The story goes on

When he’s not performing, Styles has consistently worked in front of the camera. He took an evening off from his Los Angeles concert residency to attend the premiere of his new film, My Policeman, in which he plays a withdrawn gay cop in the 1950s who falls in love with a man despite being married to a man woman is married. While answering questions from viewers on the red carpet for the premiere, Styles said the lesson he hopes people can take away from the film is, “It’s never too late to follow your bliss and to be brave in love.”

“I think the story is about wasted time and it’s never too late to follow your heart and do what you want,” he said.

Styles made headlines this year with his other film, Don’t Worry Darling. The psychological thriller, which stars Florence Pugh and Chris Pine, was directed by Styles’ real-life partner Olivia Wilde.
