In March 2021, it was confirmed that Christensen would reprise his role in the Disney Plus series Obi-Wan Kenobi.

In a July interview with Fatherly, he revealed he needed to get back in shape for the role.

“I had to physically get back into that character. I just ate as many calories as possible. I gained 25 or 30 pounds to fill that out [Darth Vader] Suit,” he said, adding that the process took about nine months.
