Slave Isaura Edwin Luisi and Lucélia Santos

Erick Bretas highlighted the inclusion of works from the 1970s and 1980s in the 2023 programme.

“In the Resgate project, we plan four titles from the 70’s, four from the 80’s and four seasons of ‘Malhação’ in 2023,” he emphasized.

Globoplay’s new Monthly Grid will premiere each week.

“Even in 2023, the series and miniseries will have a place just for them. So every two weeks we have an action of the Resgate project with only soap operas and seasons of ‘Malhação’. Including one week for the Originalidade project, another for the miniseries. Did you like it?” Bretas added.

Love Story Nuno Leal Maia and Regina Duarte

In response to his followers, Erick Bretas proposed three soap operas scheduled for the next year: Escrava Isaura (1976), História de Amor (1995) and UgaUga (2000).

Based on the book of the same name by Bernardo Guimarães, Escrava Isaura won the world! Gilberto Braga’s successful adaptation stars Lucélia Santos in the title role. The daughter of a slave and an overseer, Isaura suffers from the attacks of her master Leôncio (Rubens de Falco).

Eagerly awaited by fans of Manoel Carlos, História de Amor brings Regina Duarte in her first Helena dealing with her teenage daughter Joyce (Carla Marins) who is pregnant with a bad character. And also with the passion for Carlos (José Mayer), husband of Paula (Carolina Ferraz) and ex of Sheila (Lilia Cabral).

UgaUga Cláudio Heinrich

UgaUga, Carlos Lombardi’s success, achieved excellent ratings with seven, but failed to return in repeats due to the indicative rating. The story of Tatuapú (Cláudio Heinrich), a millionaire raised in an indigenous tribe, uses and abuses action sequences, violence and naked bodies.

It should be noted that such returns still depend on a number of factors, such as negotiating copyright, image and music rights.

About the author

Passionate about soap operas since Ruth (Gloria Pires) took the place of Raquel (also Gloria) in the second version of Mulheres de Areia. And to write about since when Thales (Armando Babaioff) started falling in love with Julinho (André Arteche) in the remake of Tititi. I have visited the Agora é Que São Eles blog, the Canal VIVA website and the RD1 portal. Now I’m working with TV História again.
