The Russian forward has achieved all the achievements of his team. He started his productive day early in the third period when his team was 2-0 down.

Kaprizov defeated goaltender Elvis Merzlikins by redirecting a shot from the point. Less than five minutes later, the star player used a power play to level the game. In overtime, the hero of the day finished the job by completing a game of tic-tac-toe orchestrated by Calen Addison and Mats Zuccarello.

It was the second time Kaprizov had scored a hat trick in the National League after scoring three times against the Arizona Coyotes on March 12, 2021. It was also the sixth time the skater had scored more than one goal in a game of the season.

The nets for the Blue Jackets came from the sticks of Mathieu Olivier and Liam Foudy. In front of his cage, Merzlikins faced 44 shots. At the other end of the ice rink, Marc-André Fleury managed to win with 22 saves.

This is the second time in five days that the Big Apple team have defeated the Manitoba club.

At net, Semyon Varlamov perfected all 23 shots for his rivals and recorded his second shutout of 2022-2023. It is also the 38th time he has scored a shutout in the NHL.

Bo Horvat is the one who opened the shot on goal in this duel. He hit the underman goal in the first half. The 27-year-old forward was playing his 11th game for the Islanders since taking them from the Vancouver Canucks. It was his fifth goal with his new organization.

Alexander Romanov, Brock Nelson and Adam Pelech (empty net) were the other players who signed up for the brand.
