Hunter Biden declares he is innocent of tax evasion

Son of the President of the United States, Joe Biden, is responsible for nine crimes; The trial took place this Thursday in Los Angeles

Hunter Biden declared his innocence of tax crimes during his trial this Thursday (January 11, 2024) in Los Angeles (USA). The son of US President Joe Biden is accused of tax evasion. The indictment alleges Hunter evaded taxes to maintain an “extravagant” lifestyle.

“(The) defendant spent this money on drugs, escorts and girlfriends, luxury hotels and rental properties, exotic cars, clothing and other items of a personal nature, in short, everything except his taxes,” explains the prosecutor.

During the trial, Hunter Biden's lawyer argued that the charges were political coups against him and his father. The businessman also faces charges of possessing an illegal weapon in the US state of Delaware.

The speech came a day after the U.S. House Judiciary and Oversight Committees approved a report calling for Biden's son to be transferred to the Justice Department. He could be charged with contempt of Congress for refusing to testify to obtain information for the president's impeachment inquiry.
