If it wasn’t God’s plan for me to win, that’s fine, but I feel good about what I did. A message to the future candidates for Miss Dominican Republic
At the end of her visit, we asked Andreína to give some advice to the future candidates for the Miss Dominican Republic pageant who will be crowned this year and who will replace her.
Andreína said the most important thing to understand is that being Miss Dominican Republic is a job.
“Often we walk in with the idea that it’s just makeup and hair, not knowing we’re going to an interview. Miss Universe was the longest interview of my life, one of the most challenging. That they understand that they are looking for a woman of integrity, who has goals, who has a voice, who can be an ambassador, not just of a country but of a whole universe, the whole world. That they work in such a way that they can arrive firmly, with a secure position, up to that moment.
