Peace-. The President of Bolivia, Luis Arce, is preparing today to launch his international agenda in 2023 by attending the VII Summit of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (Celac) in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The Deputy Minister of Communications, Gabriela Alcón, confirmed that Arce will travel to this forum, which will take place on January 24th.

According to the deputy leader, the meeting hopes to reach political agreement through this integrationist structure and promote the creation of a participatory mechanism with civil society.

Alcón confirmed that in the next few days the rest of the program that the President will carry out in the Argentine capital will be announced.

A communication from the Vice Ministry of Communications to Prensa Latina informs that on the eve of the opening of the meeting, a meeting related to the proposal to consolidate Celac Social will be held with organizations and popular movements from countries in the region.

According to the source, it is expected to approve a statement and show the urgent need to create the mechanism.

He adds that topics such as the economy, debt, strengthening public health systems, climate change and redistribution of wealth will be addressed, among others.

Likewise, geopolitical issues such as respect for democratic institutions and the relations of the Celac-China, Celac-Russia and Celac-European Union forums will also be part of the debate.

Established in 2010, this integration structure is a mechanism for dialogue and political agreement.

It is made up of 33 Latin American and Caribbean countries committed to the idea of ​​promoting the gradual integration process of the region, balancing unity with the political, economic, social and cultural diversity of its more than 600 million inhabitants.

Founded in 2011, Celac helped establish a respectful dialogue among all nations of this region on issues such as social development, education, nuclear disarmament, family farming, culture, finance, energy and the environment.

A major achievement of this forum was achieved at the 2014 Havana Summit, when participants agreed to declare Latin America and the Caribbean a zone of peace.
