Jade Picon first spoke about the episode, which went viral in September and garnered some criticism around the internet. Back then, she dodged a question about rapper Xamã, leaving a reporter in a vacuum during Rock In Rio.
Barely a month after the situation, the influencer decided to explain her behavior: “I know it’s part of my job but it’s frustrating when you want to have fun in the moment and you agree to an interview but the reporter asks an unnecessary question something you don’t want to reveal. It’s a festival, I want to have fun, I’m 21 years old,” Jade told Splash UOL columnist Lucas Pasin.
This situation had many repercussions on social media. With that, news started circulating in the media that Globo had asked Picon to be more likable in her next interviews in order to protect her image as she is one of the stars of the soap opera Travessia starting next Monday (10/10).
However, Jade denies receiving a warning from TV Globo: “There is no such thing. I’m talking to Globo about the character, but I’m very much following my desires. I don’t see what I did as dislike. It’s actually all an answer, in this case the person was unprofessional with me,” the exBBB clarified.
