Jeremy Renner returns a year later to the hospital in Reno where he was treated for a near-fatal snowplow accident: 'Forever in your debt'

Jeremy Renner was in a grateful mood as he visited staff at a Reno hospital, a year after they treated him for a near-fatal snowplow accident.

The 52-year-old Marvel star shared snaps of the happy event on Instagram, including his ride in an ambulance, a meeting with doctors and nurses, and a meeting with first responders.

“Drive through Reno, Nevada with joy, blessings and pizza!!!!” he wrote. “I stopped by to see children/superheroes, first responders and doctors, nurses and staff at Renown Hospital to pay my respects and celebrate love and life and the blessings it brings to all of us.

“Thank you and this community for keeping me here. I am forever indebted to you.”

On New Year's Day 2023, Renner suffered fractures in more than 30 bones and had to undergo multiple medical procedures after his snowplow accidentally ran over him.

The surprise hospital stay comes a few weeks after he posted a video showing his efforts in physical therapy after sustaining injuries to his legs in the accident.

In the clip, Jeremy can be seen running on a treadmill as he increases the speed while the person filming it can be heard shouting words of encouragement.

As the action star turns off the device and the rehabilitation session comes to an end, his pal can be heard saying: “Dude, that's so impressive.”

“I tried higher speed interval training today at 13 mph,” Jeremy captioned the video with the phrase “PRESS KEEP” underneath.

The actor also posted a heartwarming message of gratitude along with a black and white photo of himself walking with a cane while wrapping his arms around a friend.

“With the blessing of only time ahead of me, I reflect daily on all that I am grateful for and move forward with intention and clarity, not forgetting all of your unrelenting support…” he wrote.

“I just wanted to leave a note to thank you for your thoughtfulness and kindness…it is noticed and deeply felt every day.”

The posts come hours after he was seen wearing an Iron Man-style compression device on his legs that promotes blood circulation.

“Roll through Reno, NV with joy, blessings and pizza!!!!”" he wrote. “I stopped by to see children/superheroes, first responders and doctors, nurses and staff at Renown Hospital. I pay my respects and celebrate the love, life and blessings it brings to all of us.”

The Avengers star walked through New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport on Wednesday with Normatec Go air compression sleeves on his calves.

Renner was struck and run over by a snow plow as he tried to prevent his nephew from being hit by the vehicle.

The actor suffered numerous broken bones and a collapsed lung in the incident, after which he spent a long time in the intensive care unit.

Following the accident, he underwent surgery for his injuries and although his condition was listed as critical, he was released from hospital on January 17.

Since then, the actor has shared various photos and videos from his recovery process on his Instagram account.

Renner gave his 21.1 million Instagram followers a glimpse into his recovery process by posting a video to accompany his story in November. In the clip, he was seen crawling across a rock-like platform to test his joints “against gravity.”

He wrote that he was “working through” the pain to further his healing process.

Just ten months after the accident, Renner beamed as he sat courtside at the Los Angeles Lakers game.

The performer recently spoke to CNN and told the media outlet that he feels “very blessed and very lucky to be standing up, walking around and living life.”

Renner went on to say that the accident caused him to reevaluate his priorities and structure his life more efficiently.

“My life is really lean, if that makes sense.” There is no more fat in my life. “I don’t have time for that,” he said.

The Town star also spoke about the “gifts” he gained through his recovery process.

“When you're tested in every way physically, emotionally, spiritually and then you get through it, it's hard to explain,” he said.

Renner announced in a post shared to his Instagram account that he plans to release a new music project inspired by his recovery.

The artist shared part of the cover art for his upcoming release titled “Love And Titanium,” although much of it was obscured by a heart emoji.
