Jeremy Renner thanked his beloved fans for a sweet birthday video they made for him as he continues to recover in hospital after being crushed by a snowplough.
The actor, who has remained in his hospital’s intensive care unit since his devastating snowplough accident on January 1, celebrated his 52nd birthday on Saturday January 7th. The youth organization The Base Chicago wished him well.
In the clip, children from the organization Renner previously volunteered with hold up placards with Renner’s name as they dance to 50 Cent’s In Da Club.

This comes after Renner posted a new update on his recovery on his Instagram Story on Friday and thanked the ICU team for helping him begin his healing journey.
Renner was run over by a seven-ton snowplow on New Year’s Day while he was working to extricate a trapped family member from the snow covering his Lake Tahoe ranch.
“Thank you to the renowned ICU medical team for starting this journey,” the Hawkeye star wrote, captioning a picture of him in his hospital bed surrounded by the ICU medical team.

This latest recovery update follows a video Jeremy posted to social media from his bed in the ICU on Thursday.
Renner was injured under his eye in his video and appeared to be sedated as his sister massaged his scalp and joked: “You’re so sexy.”
The Hawkeye actor slurred his words as he replied that it was his first shower and he was “definitely weak or something”. Rough.’
He captioned the video: “A not-so-great day in ICU turned into an amazing spa day with my sister and mom. Many Thanks.’

The actor, who was in critical condition after the accident, had two surgeries that placed metal pins around his leg. On Tuesday he was awake and talking, a source told .
At the time, he posted a picture of himself in his hospital bed with visible bruises on his face as he thanked well-wishers for their “kind words.”
‘Thank you all for your kind words. I’m (sic) too confused to type now. But I’m sending you all love,” he captioned the picture.
Authorities said Renner tried to use his 14,330-pound snowplow to help extricate a family member with a private vehicle that was stuck in the snow.
The actor exited the vehicle to speak to the unidentified family member. During that time, said Washoe County Sheriff Darin Balaam, “It was observed that the PistenBully [snow plow] started rolling.’

He attempted to get back into the vehicle but was soon run over, Balaam said at a news conference Tuesday afternoon.
A 911 call made subsequently indicated that the actor’s right side of his chest collapsed and his torso was crushed.
The emergency log obtained by TMZ also included notes from the accident, according to which Renner heard moans in the background of the call and suffered severe bleeding from the head and other injuries.
The injuries to his chest and torso reportedly made it difficult for the Marvel star to breathe before he was flown from the scene of the accident to a nearby hospital around 10 a.m. Sunday morning near his home in the Reno area.
Neighbors tried to help Renner immediately afterwards, the sheriff said, coming out with towels and giving him first aid – but none of them were doctors.
Balaam added that police do not suspect foul play, nor do he suspect Renner was affected at all at the time.
The sheriff’s department is currently investigating the accident and has the snowplow in their possession.
Renner spoke to emergency services before being flown to a nearby hospital just before 10 a.m. local time.

Renner’s family was visiting for a New Year’s celebration, but the high-altitude hamlet near Mount Rose, Nevada, where he lives, had been buried under five feet of snow. Local residents were without electricity and running water for two days when the accident happened on New Year’s Day.
Renner — who has his own fire engine, plow and other heavy machinery — took a snowcat early January 1 to clear some of the snow.
‘He had family up here. His nephew was with him. They closed the mountain because everyone was slipping,” the source, who has known Renner for several years, told .
“He only plowed the road to ski. He got out and then the plane took off. The machine jumped out of the aisle. And then he did something to try to get in and he got caught up and hit him.

“He sustained some wounds but is fine now. He’s talking and all, even though he needs to rest. They put a needle in his leg,” the source said.
Two neighbors said he underwent surgery at Renown Regional Medical Center, known as the best hospital in northern Nevada with top-notch orthopedic surgeons.
The source added that conditions were extreme this weekend at his $3.25 million home near the Mount Rose Highway near the city of Reno.
‘Two days ago [the snow] five feet deep, his workers had to hike in,” they said. “They haven’t had power since 4 p.m. Saturday.”
TMZ previously reported that the safety features of Renner’s snow groomer failed, causing it to roll over Renner’s leg about a quarter mile from his home. The machine was built by the German manufacturer Kassbohrer.
The snow groomer is currently owned by the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office
Renner plays Hawkeye, a live-shooting member of the superhero Avengers squad in Marvel’s expansive film and television universe.
He is loved by fans across the country, and especially by children in Washoe County, who have seen the celebrity in the area for years and when he attends local events.
He received back-to-back Oscar nominations for 2010’s The Hurt Locker and 2011’s The Town. His portrayal of a bomb disposal specialist in Iraq in The Hurt Locker helped him make a name for himself.
2012’s Avengers cemented him as part of Marvel’s grand ambitions as a storyteller, with his character appearing in multiple sequels and getting his own Disney+ series, Hawkeye.
