It was during the episode of Towerwhich aired Monday night, actress Julie Ringuette confided in the work-life balance that has taken on a whole new meaning for her since filming the drama series Meganticwhose eight episodes will be released on February 9th on Club illico.

The shoots turned out to be emblematic of the actress who “always gave it gas”.
What the mother of two explained Gildor Royat Alexandre Beretat Sophie Lorrain and to the director of the series, Alexis Durand-Braultis this unconscious, before she entered the Lac-Mégantic, she was unaware of how lucky she was to have the opportunity to be there for her family.

Remember that the terrible tragedy that devastated the Lac-Mégantic municipality in 2013 claimed the lives of 49 people, including several fathers and mothers. Something Julie Ringuette largely felt while filming the series.
“The most important thing is my children,” she says without hesitation. I was such a careerist and when I had my first daughter Sam I kept working because I was cuddly and didn’t want to miss a job and I didn’t want to be forgotten and I could do anything […] I was proud of that too […] Finally, I realized that I had missed many beautiful moments. Yes, I recognized myself as a woman, but I don’t know when she [sa fille] the first time she said “I love you mom” to me, I don’t remember that anymore…” she admitted.

“I was burned out, I was tired, I had a lot of guarding and I felt a lot of guilt […] come out there [le tournage de Mégantic], what touches man is like hurry, I have a life! After that I don’t have a chance. If something happens I’ll live it at 100mph,” she added.
Sophie Lorain, who produced the eight episodes of Mégantic, gently approached the relationship between the people of Mégantic, who were scarred by the grief and trauma of the drama, and the film crew. She explained that she asked those who wanted to take part in the filming as extras.

She added the importance of doing the series well, which is basically a tribute to the people of Lac-Mégantic.
Megantic will be available from Club illico on February 9th.
