Karol G is celebrating her triple today (February 14th): it's her 33rd birthday, Valentine's Day and she has a new single.

On Wednesday he presented his new song “Contigo” with Tiësto. This is the third collaboration between the Colombian superstar and the Dutch DJ after “Don't Be Shy” (2021) and “Provenza (Remix)”, part of Karol's 2023 album Mañana Sera Bonito (Bichota Season).

Marking a new era for Bichota, “Contigo” is an all-Spanish song that combines rhythmic pop with electronic dance music and also interpolates 2007’s “Bleeding Love” by Leona Lewis. The lyrics, co-produced by Ryan Tedder, focus on themes of love and acceptance, and the accompanying music video shows Karol's support for the LGBTQ+ community.

The “TQG” singer first shared the lyrics on Twitter: “I don't want life if it's not WITH YOU.” During one of his concerts at Mexico's Estadio Azteca over the weekend, he officially confirmed that a new star was coming.

“My fans in Mexico had a surprise for me when, based on this phrase, they carried a huge sign that said: 'We don't want life if it's not WITH YOU,'” he said on his Instagram Stories . “I was so moved and couldn't wait to share the news that this song was coming out on Valentine's Day, my birthday, February 14th. Thank you to all the people who agreed to this incredible detail and to my team for helping them make it possible.”

“Contigo” arrives shortly after Karol not only kicked off the Latin leg of her Mañana Se Bonito tour, but also won her first Grammy for Best Urban Music Album.
