The actor, known for movies like ‘Love Actually’, kept it casual on the day in a tight white long-sleeve tee and navy pants.

He paired the look with beige leather shoes and beige glasses.

He was joined by co-star Sally Bretton, 42, who plays the character Martha Lloyd on the series.

Kris will reprise his role as DI Humphrey Goodman in the new BBC show after leaving the original series after four years in 2017 to spend more time with his family.

He told Good Morning Britain at the time that the decision to spend more time with his family was made after his daughter was born and left him “deprived” while filming in the Caribbean.

He was replaced on the show by Father Ted, the funny Ardal O’Hanlan, who played Detective Inspector Jack Mooney.

“I loved it. It’s time to move on and give someone else some sunshine. I’m still thinking about whether I made the right decision,” he said at GMB at the time.

“It’s amazing and I’ve been shooting in London since then and there’s a moment where you’re standing in the cold and you’re like, why am I not in flip flops in the Caribbean?”

Admitting that he found it difficult being away from his family for filming, he said: “The last few years I’ve been able to take her with me, but we had a daughter and I did that last series on my own. Skype leaves me helpless.’

Discussing his return in the spin-off, Kris said the Death of Paradise ending was “turned on its head.”

“It picks up where we left Humphrey Goodman and Martha [Sally Bretton]with their new bucolic southwest lifestyle,” he told Radio Times last month.

“The classic Death in Paradise way of ending the show gets a bit on its head – not every episode is a murder – so more sheep rustle and stuff like that! It brings an English Riviera touch to the show that people know and love. Who needs the Caribbean?’ he added.
