Kyle Abrams and Deepti Vempati split days after confirming romance on ‘Love Is Blind’

Well, that was quick.

Love Is Blind stars Kyle Abrams announced that he and Deepti Vempati have split just days after their romance on the hit Netflix reality TV franchise was confirmed.

“I understand many of you are curious about where Deepti and I stand today,” Abrams wrote in an Instagram post Monday.

“After filming After the Alter, we decided to go our separate ways in early summer. Thank you to everyone who has followed our journey through severe vulnerability and supported us along the way.”

He then revealed that he “has since entered into a new relationship that I want to keep private for a while.”

“I have no idea what the future will bring. For the future, I plan to live each day in the present with no regrets.”

Vempati, on the other hand, has yet to deal with the end of their relationship.

However, Abrams wasn’t without support from his “Love Is Blind” castmates after they announced their split.

Shayne Jansen commented, “Don’t worry. I’ll turn them into paparazzi 👀 keep your head on your toes.”

Abrams, 30, and Vempati, 31, decided to take their relationship to the next level when cameras rolled for season two of Love Is Blind: After the Altar.

“I just want to start a relationship — like a legitimate relationship with you,” Abrams told Vempati, adding that he wanted to be “exclusive” and not “just, like in limbo.”

“We’re actually going to try that?” she asked him as the duo chatted on a balcony.

“Yes, sure,” Abrams replied. “I would like.”

Abrams recently admitted to People that he was afraid of making such a jump as he didn’t want to jeopardize his friendship with Vempati.

“I put so much pressure on myself because I was like, ‘I don’t want this to fail.’ Because of that, I was hesitant to step in because she was my best friend,” the builder told the outlet.

“And if it doesn’t work out, you kind of lose the friendship. Because when you break up for any reason – and I had no intention of breaking up – you always have to think about what happens afterwards.

Abrams, previously engaged to Love Is Blind star Shaina Hurley, said the boyfriend-girlfriend label has in no way upended its dynamic with Vempati.

“After that, it was like nothing really changed because I felt like we were already meeting,” he explained.

“We saw each other almost every day. We spent hours together. We’ve done everything together. She’d even met my family, so it wasn’t weird or anything.”

Meanwhile, Vempati — who almost married Abhishek “Shake” Chatterjee — has never publicly acknowledged her romance with Abrams beyond “After the Altar.”

During the Love Is Blind reunion in March, Abrams told hosts Nick and Vanessa Lachey that he “regred” not proposing to Vempati.

“I should have tried harder [Vempati]’ he said of the information data analyst. “I love her so much, she is the best. And I wish I could have seen what was right in front of me, and that’s what I regret most. I am sorry.”

Vempati later told New York Magazine that their connection didn’t happen “out of the blue,” explaining, “We have this fundamental bond.”

Speculations of a serious relationship began this spring when the pair were spotted looking cozy while being together in Chicago.
