Kyle Richards has admitted that her estranged husband Mauricio Umansky still lives with her at their family home in the San Fernando Valley, seven months after it was announced they had split – but confirmed that they actually sleep in “different rooms”.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, 55, claimed that she and Mauricio, 53, still “love each other very much” and have no idea what “the future holds for their marriage right now” amid rumors , that she is in crisis romantic relationship with 29-year-old singer Morgan Wade.
Appearing on Wednesday's episode of “Today with Hoda and Jenna,” the reality TV alum didn't hold back as she discussed her personal life and her husband of 28 years, joking that it felt like she was “in a therapist’s office.”
“The current status is that we live under the same roof.” “It feels so fun to talk about it,” Kyle said, adding, “We live under the same roof in different rooms.” We're lucky enough to have that we have other houses. He comes and goes, and when we're all there, it's like… if he was there for dinner, great!'

Speaking about how their split came about last year, Kyle told hosts Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager: “I think there were certain things that were there and then we put the whole thing on hold for a long time pushed aside.”
Reflecting on her family life, she continued, “You're pregnant and breastfeeding, and then you had to work and juggle the kids, and you kind of forget about it, you know, and it pops up again.” And I think it just came to a breaking point.
“I had been through a lot. I lost my best friend. “I think it changes you and makes you look at things differently,” she said, referring to her friend Lorene Shea, who died by suicide in May 2022.
“I think that was definitely a big part of it.” But just… you know… what you're willing to accept and what you're not. It's hard because it's not like there's a big deal, we love each other a lot and have a lot of respect for each other and that makes it harder to make a decision like that.”
Kyle and Mauricio's split is featured on season 13 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, but she admitted that when cameras first rolled last year, even her kids didn't know about the split.
“It was really hard to film this season because when the cameras rolled up, we hadn't even shared it with our daughters. My job is to share my life, and to be honest, and I always have been, and he wasn't really ready to share that.
“It was a big challenge for me to kind of reconcile that.” Then I thought, “It's pretty obvious, so I have to get it out there that things aren't going well at the moment.”'
When asked if she thinks there's a chance she and Mauricio will get back together, Kylie replied: “I really don't know what my future holds at the moment, to be honest, which is the strangest thing about the whole thing .”

“I've always had so much stability throughout my life and I don't really know where my future is…you know, next week,” she added, before admitting that she finds her fan's comments “very difficult.”
“Even people who mean well ask themselves, 'What are you doing?' But you don't live in our house, you don't know what's going on. Do you think I wanted to be in this position after being married all this time? I mean, my dream was to be married forever and grow old with this person. I didn't want to be in this position, believe me. That's why it's hard to be in the public eye.
“People say, ‘You were my inspiration,’ and I understand that I’m ruining their imagination. I even had close friends who were upset about it at first, so I understand that. But there are also so many nice messages and people saying, “I admire your strength and you inspire me.”
Although Kyle still lives with Mauricio, she has been dating singer Morgan for several months and these dating rumors reached new heights in August last year after she accompanied Morgan in her music video for her single “Fall In Love With Me.” The two women longed for each other, culminating in a passionate kiss between them.
Earlier this month, Morgan spoke about how she and Kyle were getting along after rumors emerged that they were having problems after the singer deleted photos of the TV star from her Instagram page.
“I'm not arguing with @kylerichards18,” Morgan said in a caption alongside a snapshot of her posing next to Kyle at their recent concert at the Country Music Hall of Fame.
In the picture, the duo had their arms around each other and flashed huge smiles, showing no signs of tension between them – and Kyle decided to share it on her Instagram Stories.
Last month, Kyle told Page Six that the reason Morgan removed most of her posts was part of preparations to promote the music she wanted to release.

“It’s quite common for artists,” Kyle said. “That does not mean anything.”
In December last year, Kyle exclusively told that she understands the confusion over the current status of her relationship with Mauricio, as she revealed that they live a “peaceful” life at home with their daughters and even enjoy the occasional movie night.
“We're good friends and we love each other, so we're very lucky in that regard,” she said. “I think that's why people are confused and sometimes question if it's even true that we're separated.”
“It's even hard for me to believe that we are too, so I can understand it.” But in a way we're lucky, we don't fight, and we can have a peaceful environment in our home and each other that space give.”
