While Madonna stopped at the Bell Center in Montreal to perform two performances of her show The Celebration World Tour (including a performance tonight), Los Angeles vibrated Sunday with the celebrations surrounding the 29the Critics Choice Awards and then the next day for the 75the edition of the Emmys. A few days before the big awards ceremony that recognizes the best of American television, the Canada Media Fund invited Canadian actors who had distinguished themselves throughout the year to highlight local talent, in particular Sophie Nélisse, Luke Kirby, Adam DiMarco and Emily Hampshire .
Here's a look at notable looks from the Emmys and Critics Choice Awards, as well as some of the most impressive costumes from Madonna's tour, including nods to her early days and her most famous outfits, from Jean Paul Gaultier, Versace, Eyob Yohannes and Vetements.
MADONNA
Madonna couldn't celebrate her career without including a repeat of her iconic conical bra costume, which she first wore in 1990 for the Blond Ambition tour. She turned to Jean Paul Gaultier, who originally dreamed up the creation, transitioning from a black minidress to exposed boning and jet fringe.

Lace is ubiquitous in Madonna's wardrobe. The label Vetements has designed a long-sleeved leotard that goes with a denim skirt. It was the perfect setting for the huge Swarovski necklace that completed her outfit.

Donatella Versace shared on Instagram how happy she was to have Versace among the star's stage costumes. “My incredible friend Madonna – you are a bright spot in Versace on the first night of your Celebration tour,” the designer said. “Your talent and creativity inspire us all…” The drop-shoulder jumpsuit sparkles like a mirror ball in the spotlight.

SOPHIE NELISSE
Sophie Nélisse was in Los Angeles again, this time for the evenings surrounding the Emmys, including the one organized by the Canada Media Fund. While she chooses her outfits herself on the red carpets in Montreal, she enjoys being looked after by a team when she arrives in California. For the occasion, her stylist Greer Heavrin suggested a gray skirt suit that contrasted with the satin bustier, all by Giuseppe Di Morabito.

Emily Hampshire embodied Thom Browne's school aesthetic. The “Welcome to Schitt's Creek” actress opted for a Bermuda shorts suit paired with two-tone derbies and socks featuring the brand's famous stripes.

At the Critics Choice Awards, these two actors pushed the boundaries of fashion style. Matt Bomer reinterpreted the tuxedo and chose this Berluti creation in bright blue and great elegance without a bow tie but with a matching satin belt. He played up the monochrome look right down to the perfectly matching shoes.
Black ankle boots would have ruined the look, so luckily Colman Domingo opted for a gold Christian Louboutin number that paired beautifully with this mustard Valentino suit. Without forgetting the spectacular touch, the gold-colored structured coat.
