Malu Mader had serious health issues and covered it all in a revealing interview
Malu Mader, one of the greatest artists of teledramaturgy, said that she went through difficult moments in her life. Currently, at the peak of her 56 years, the actress has decided to move away from the soap operas globe since 2016.
The powerful account was made in an interview for the W/Cast podcast, and the actress recalled her journey through head surgery in 2005 to remove a cyst.
Malu Mader showed that the whole process brought about a change in her life:
“That’s what I noticed, some behavior changes. I put it down to what I went through (surgery), which of course moved you,” explained the actress, who has played numerous roles on the Globo network.
“Not that I became anyone else. A kind of soap opera that wakes you up. But there have been many significant changes, and since then I’ve been curious and observant of all things brain and science,” said Malu Mader.

About the academic life mixed with the scenes of the Globo soap operas, Malu Mader explains:
“I took the entrance exam for literature and sociology. I studied the first a bit, but that was right around the time I started doing a lot of TV. I’ve had a bit of a professional crisis, but not in the sense of doubting whether I like being an actress or not,” said the actress, touched.
New deal with Disney+
Malu Mader showed that she is really ready to return to teledramaturgy when she signed a contract with Disney + streaming to live the character Elis, part of the work Mila in the multiverse.
In this new work, which is still in development, Malu Mader will play the 16yearold mother of the protagonist Mila.
