What have you done to “destress” after a fight? Why was an Italian man so angry after an argument with his wife that he decided to leave the house and walk? He ended up covering more than 450 kilometers in seven days and was stopped by police last week for violating the curfew imposed in the country due to Covid19. He had to pay for an overnight stay in a hotel and still faces a fine of 400 euros (R2,460) for violating the governmentimposed curfew.

The 48yearold man, who has not been identified, walked about 40 miles a day from the Italian town of Como to Fano, according to MetroUK's website.

However, the husband was arrested by police at around 2am (local time) last week for being on the street. As the country's government has imposed a curfew, people must strictly stay at home between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. to prevent the spread of Covid19.

The man was cold and looked tired. When officers searched the Italian's records, it emerged that his wife had opened a police report to report his disappearance.

“I didn’t use any resources [de transporte para chegar aqui]. These days I ate and drank because the people I met along the way offered me water and food. I'm doing well. “I’m just a little tired,” the man said, according to Italian newspaper Il Resto del Carlino.

The man then moved into a hotel room in Fano and spent the rest of the day there until his wife picked him up the next morning. Along with the daily hotel bill also came a fine of 400 euros (R2,460) for violating the governmentimposed curfew.
