Megyn Kelly made a very rude remark about Jennifer Lopez and Shakira when she mentioned the outfits they wore during their 2020 Super Bowl halftime performance.

“I object to J.Lo and Shakira showing their vaginas at the Super Bowl,” Kelly, 51, said on a recent episode of her podcast, The Megyn Kelly Show. “As if I don’t want that. It has to be appropriate to the situation.”

Kelly chatted to guest Bridget Phetasy about women “embracing their bodies” as the performance took place.

While she had an ax to grind with J-Lo and Shakira, she cited Paulina Porizkova as the ideal example of someone flashing the meat.

“But I don’t mind women just hugging their bodies or showing their bodies like in the pictures you see,” she continued.

“Paulina Porizkova just had a really interesting post,” she continued. “She showed her butt, she looks great.”

Last month, Paulina posted several snaps of her flashing her bum, including one in early September of her basking in the sun in a cheeky bikini.

Kelly isn’t the only person who had issues with JLo and Shakira’s halftime show.

In the hours following the Feb. 2 broadcast, 1,300 complaints were filed with the Federal Communications Commission.

The lively performance, which received more viewers than the game, saw the pop stars belly dance and pole twist in skimpy outfits.

Viewers claimed they had to “shield their children’s eyes” and branded the close-ups of the stars “embarrassing,” according to Freedom of Information responses collected by the WFAA.

Some complaints referred to “extreme booty shaking”, “pole dancing” and moaned about “S&M outfits”.

Others said the show was “soft porn” with “too much skin exposed.”

One of the more clearly worded complaints moaned that her eyes had been “annoyed”.

The Spring Hill, Tennessee viewer wrote, “I don’t subscribe to the Playboy Channel, we don’t buy porn for $20 a flick, we just wanted to sit down as a family and watch the Super Bowl.

“God forbid we were expecting to see football and a quick concert, but instead our eyes were bothered.”

Super Bowl LIV drew a total of 102 million viewers across Fox and all of its platforms.

Complaints received by the FCC about halftime shows account for one-thousandth of a percent of all viewers, according to the commission.

For comparison, the 2004 Super Bowl halftime show, which addressed Janet Jackson’s wardrobe malfunction, received 540,000 complaints in the weeks following the live broadcast.
