‘Our carbon monoxide alarm saved our lives’: Made in Chelsea’s Ruby Adler reveals she and boyfriend Nicholas Sinclair were taken to hospital after a gas leak from a ‘faulty cooktop’
Made in Chelsea star Ruby Adler and boyfriend Nicholas Sinclair had a horrifying experience this week when they were taken to hospital due to a gas leak at home.
Ruby, 26, shared a series of posts on her Instagram Stories on Friday, saying they were at home when a carbon monoxide alarm went off.
Ruby said an ambulance was called to take her to the emergency room to see if the couple was suffering from carbon monoxide poisoning.

Ruby assured her followers they were fine and gave the green light to go home, but told her followers to put a carbon monoxide detector on.
She said her alarm “saved her life” after discovering the toxic gas leak at her home.
According to the NHS, “carbon monoxide gas is colorless and has no smell, so you can’t tell if it’s around you”.
Being poisoned from too much exposure to the gas can make you extremely uncomfortable.

“Last night was really scary…our carbon monoxide alarm went off and the fire department showed up right away,” she wrote.
“They used a reader to detect high levels of carbon monoxide in our home.”
She said the couple went to the hospital for blood tests after getting there by ambulance.
“Carbon monoxide is a gas that can kill you quickly and has been dubbed the ‘silent killer’ because it’s colorless, odorless, tasteless, and non-irritating.”
“I cannot stress enough to anyone reading this how important it is to have a carbon monoxide alarm in your home. We were told that if we had left it much longer and had had much more carbon monoxide exposure, the outcome would have been very different.’
She added: “Very grateful we are both doing well… Everything seemed trivial last night but healthy… I am very grateful for the NHS today. I send love to everyone.”
Ruby went public with Nicholas over Christmas.
Ruby, who split from eight-year-old Reza Amiri-Garroussi’s on-off boyfriend after falling unhappy in their relationship, captioned pictures of her with Nicholas, “All I want for Christmas is you” alongside a heart emoji .

According to The Mirror, Nicholas was “behind bars until a couple of months ago” after being convicted on two counts of “concern over the supply of Class A drugs”.
A source told the publication, “Most of her castmates were thrilled to see her made love to Nicholas.

His mother is former dominatrix Natalie Rowe, who once made explosive claims about former Chancellor George Osborne “snorting cocaine” – a claim he vehemently denied and dismissed as “completely untrue”.
