Netflix will air WWE RAW after reaching a multi million dollar deal that caused a stir SPORTS WORLD

Netflix continues to bet on sports and has done something historic by signing a $5 billion contract RAWthe iconic program World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).

Starting January 2025, the streaming platform will exclusively broadcast RAW, which will cover territories such as the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Latin America, among others.

This contract also includes smack down, as well as live pay-per-view events, such as: WrestleMania and Royal Rumble.

“We are excited to have WWE Raw, with its huge and passionate, multi-generational fan base, on Netflix,” Netflix Chief Content Officer Bela Bajaria said in a statement.

“The 10-year contract is worth more than $5 billion, according to a statement from the company. Netflix has the option to terminate the contract after five years and extend it for another decade. The streaming platform will be able to broadcast Raw 24/7 worldwide and will begin the agreement with exclusive rights in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Latin America. “Netflix will also become the home of all WWE programming and specials outside the United States, including SmackDown and NXT shows WrestleMania, SummerSlam and Royal Rumble,” an NBC report said.
