An NYPD sergeant known as “Bullethead” cost the city more than $1 million after being sued 46 times and 24 have been settled so far for illegal arrests, raids without warrants and unconstitutional street stops .

Sergeant David Grieco, who is believed to be New York’s most sued police officer contender, forced the city to pay $1,066,750 in damages in 24 lawsuits, 22 of which are still pending. New York Daily News reported.

The largest settlement was reported to have been $103,000, but according to data compiled by the Legal Aid Society’s Police Accountability Project, most of the registered lawsuits have been settled for tens of thousands of dollars.

The lawsuits against Grieko, a 16-year veteran of the security forces, began back in 2011 when he was a crime-fighting cop in Brooklyn and continue his current assignment as a field intelligence officer in Flatbush.

Molly Griffard, a legal aid lawyer, told NY Daily News that Grieco “represents the lack of accountability and widespread impunity in the NYPD” and urged New York City Mayor Eric Adams to take action.

“New Yorkers need the mayor and police commissioner to take action to root out misconduct and stop giving serial rapists like Grieco simple slaps in the face for abusing our neighbors,” Griffard said.

None of the agreements provided for the recognition of wrongdoing.

The NYPD said in a statement that the lawsuits do not prove that Grieco violated any laws and that he “made and supervised hundreds of arrests that did not result in any civil litigation.”

Joshua Moskowitz, a lawyer involved in two cases against Grieko that have been settled, said he was shocked that the officer had not yet been fired.

“It’s unbelievable to me that the city hasn’t yet taken steps to fix it,” Moskowitz told NY Daily News.

“At some point, any reasonable employer would say, ‘I can’t keep you.’

Grieko has also been cited several times for failing police actions, and last year he was stripped of his leave for unreasonably stopping a car.
