Mischa Barton has shared her love of the local sights and sounds of Melbourne and Victoria.
The OC star is in Australia to film revamped soap opera Neighbors, and now that her month on set is up, the actress says she’ll be taking a vacation Down Under.
On their must-see list are the stunning Mornington Peninsula and Prahran Market.
“One of my favorite things to do in Victoria is to go to the Mornington Peninsula,” she told The Herald Sun on Sunday.
“I really like it down there; “I love the rugged landscape and the beaches.”

Mischa says she also stops by for a nice meal at Beverley in South Yarra, which offers California-style dishes.
“But another favorite activity is just going to Prahran Market (and keeping things low-key),” she added.
The 37-year-old recently shared with fans an update from the Neighbors set, which was featured in a video posted to the show’s official Instagram account.
She promised that her character would liven up the series and bring “drama” to the storylines.
“I’ve started filming on set and it’s going great,” said the star, who dyed her hair blonde for the role, in the video.
“One of my favorite things to do in Victoria is to go to the Mornington Peninsula,” she said Sunday
“But another favorite activity is just going to Prahran Market (and keeping things low-key),” she added

Mischa’s role as Reece in the Amazon reboot is set to cause an uproar for Ramsay Street as her character’s identity “isn’t what she appears to be”.
The former Hollywood star’s performance is intended to appeal to American viewers as Neighbors, set in the fictional Melbourne suburb of Erinsborough, will be shown on Amazon Freevee in the US.
“I’m excited to be a part of the next chapter of this iconic show, and I’m really excited to be back in Australia – a place I know and love!” Barton said in a statement.
“I think the role of Reece will be a great role for me to explore and play with,” she added.

Barton began her career as a child actress in Hollywood films such as The Sixth Sense and Notting Hill, both of which were released in 1999.
However, she became a real superstar when she was cast to play troubled teen Marissa on the hit TV series OC from 2003-2007.
Last month, cameras began rolling for Amazon’s revived Neighbors, and the series is expected to return to screens later this year.
The sequel to the long-running soap series follows the 2022 finale that was watched by millions of fans.
