The Hollywood Academy announced this Tuesday (23) the nominations for the 2024 Oscar. Actress Zazie Beetz and actor Jack Quaid read out the names of the nominees, with “Oppenheimer” at the top.
The biopic about the father of the atomic bomb competes in 13 categories. “Poor Creatures” received 11 nominations and “Killers of the Flower Moon” was remembered 10 times. “Barbie” was the fourth film on the list with eight nominations.
The handover ceremony is scheduled for March 10 in Los Angeles, with a talk by Jimmy Kimmel. This year, professionals from more than 93 countries voted, in an attempt by the academy to bring more diversity to the awards.
