Florida misstep for CH

Our sports betting expert's NHL tip of the day: Panthers back on track

My NHL sports betting tip today is on the Florida Panthers at -1.5 goals as they host the Anaheim Ducks.

The Florida team is currently in great shape and has won nine of its last ten games. Their nine-game winning streak ended Saturday night when the New Jersey Devils defeated them 4-1 at their home stadium, Amerant Bank.

Conversely, the Ducks have lost 9 of their last 11 games, including a 5-1 loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday night.

Panthers goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky has been impressive this season. He has a record of 21-10-1 and an average of just 2.45 goals allowed per game. The Panthers could also use their backup goaltender Anthony Stolarz tonight. His stats are equally impressive. In fact, Stolarz has a record of 6-3-1 with a goals-against average of 1.95.

The Panthers also come into this matchup on a seven-game winning streak against the Ducks, including their 2-1 win in California in November.

In my opinion, the Panthers are less likely to underestimate Anaheim given their loss in their last game. I'm putting my money into them to take out a much weaker opponent.

So let’s get going with the Panthers.
