Passengers on a Virgin Australia flight from Ballina to Sydney were surprised to see superstar musician Ed Sheeran in the promotional flight this week.
The 32-year-old singer, who is in Australia for his math tour, kept a low profile as he caught the flight ahead of his sold-out concerts at the Accor stadium this weekend.
Fans hailed the Shape of You hitmaker for being “humble” and “down to earth” by flying on a commercial rather than private jet like most international acts do.
“He’s just a down to earth guy,” one person commented on Instagram.
“The nice thing is he took a scheduled flight and not a private jet. Pretty humble,” added another.

On Sunday he was seen enjoying a sun-kissed beach day in Byron Bay with his wife Cherry Seaborn, 30, and their two children, Lyra Antarctica, two, and Jupiter, 9 months.
Ed kept it casual in light blue board shorts and a green long-sleeved rash vest, which he wore to cool off quickly in the sea.
