PF formalizes support proposal to address the crisis in Ecuador

A Federal Police The Brazilian company has formalized a proposal with six practical support measures for Ecuador Crisis of violence hitting the country. At the meeting of Ameripol (Police Community of America) this Saturday (13) the measures were determined.

One of them is the formal opening of an office in Quito with the aim of establishing two agents in the neighboring country's capital. In addition to the immediate deployment of federal police officers.

The Brazilian idea is to provide immediate support to investigations, intelligence operations and other activities related to public security. The proposal makes it clear that the Brazilian police are ready to provide training in the areas of investigation, reconnaissance and financial analysis with the aim of decapitalizing criminal organizations, which has been carried out, for example, in Portugal and Bolivia.

The PF offered cooperation in identifying Brazilian criminals, whether or not they were imprisoned on Ecuadorian territory, as well as intelligence teams specialized in fugitive searches and sensitive investigations.

The International Police Cooperation Center based in Rio de Janeiro, which has had an agent from the Ecuadorian National Police since October 2023, was also included in the measures.
