(CNN) — South Korean police believe K-pop star Moon Bin, a member of boy band Astro, took his own life, Gangnam police told CNN on Thursday.
“Moon is said to have taken his own life and no evidence of foul play has been found in connection with this case,” police confirmed to CNN over the phone.
The star was found dead by her manager at her home in south Seoul around 8:10 p.m. Wednesday, according to an officer at the Gangnam Police Station.
Moon Bin was a member of boy band Astro and news of his death was released by Fanttagio, the group’s music label. In a statement on Instagram, Fantagio said Moon Bin “suddenly left us and became a star in the sky.”
