After remaining hidden for more than a year, the jackpot was revealed by The goose that lays golden eggs was finally won.
On Sunday, Jacques Sénécal, a retiree from Terrebonne, received a record $1,527,000 in addition to his winnings accumulated during the episode. This is the largest amount ever donated to the show.
“We've been waiting a long time to pay out this jackpot! It was a beautiful, emotional moment in the studio,” said Sébastien Benoît, co-host of the show.

On February 25, 2024, Jacques Sénécal won the jackpot with egg number seven on the show “La goose aux oeufs d'or”.
Mr. Sénécal scored a double win while playing roulette, which allowed him to win $2,000 in the Machine à Poule bonus game. Opening the doors earned him three eggs right at the start and allowed him to move directly to the next level.
Mr. Sénécal finally continued the adventure with egg number seven.
The retiree would like to use his prize to rent a vacation home on Prince Edward Island and go on a family trip.
The winning ticket came from the Familiprix Pharmacy in Terrebonne.
