After an unbelievable separation shortly after birth, twin sisters Amy and Ano were reunited by chance after 19 years.
In a case that's hard to top in terms of drama, twin sisters Amy and Ano were kidnapped and illegally sold in Georgia.
Kidnapping and Separation: A Fateful Beginning
Fate caused them to grow up in different families, without knowing of each other's existence. Their paths only crossed again after 19 years – and in a way that almost bordered on a miracle.
A video as a turning point
In November 2021, Amy, then 19, uploaded a video to TikTok that was discovered by Ano's friend. The resemblance to his girlfriend was so striking that he brought the video to Ano's attention. This moment would be the beginning of her search and, finally, her reunion.
The search and unexpected reunion
Driven by curiosity to find her supposed look-alike, Ano used social media and located Amy. The meeting between the two in Tbilisi was marked by an immediate and profound understanding: they are twins.
A connection that goes beyond appearance
Conversations revealed other similarities, such as the same bone disease and identical hobbies. Despite the different dates of birth on their certificates, they were sure they were brothers.
the truth comes out
Confrontation with their adoptive parents revealed that both women had bought their daughters from a clinic because they were unable to have children. The sisters set out in search of their biological mother. Through a social media group for missing family members, they found a woman who was later revealed to be their biological mother. A DNA test confirmed this incredible turn of events.
The exciting reunion
After almost two decades, the mother and daughters were reunited in a hotel in Leipzig. The mother explained that she fell into a coma after the birth and was told that the twins had died.
