Richard Gere’s much younger wife Alejandra Silva celebrated her 40th birthday by sharing a rare photo of their two young children on social media.
The 73-year-old actor’s wife shared a sweet post on Instagram, thanking her family, friends and followers for their kind words as she reached her milestone year.
Alejandra has taken care to hide the faces of her sons – Alexander, four, and their youngest boy, who turns three in April – as she shares her personal life with the actor – who recently starred alongside Emma Roberts – who is 33 years her senior , has kept private property.
She captioned the picture: “Thank you all for the birthday wishes. After almost 3 weeks of everyone in our family being sick today, I’m finally feeling a lot better!” The Spanish native of A Coruña announced the actual day of her birthday on Thursday, February 16.
She added: “Thank you for all the love. I give you everything back! #happybirthday #happy40′, along with a red heart emoji.

The photo shows Silva looking stunning in an aqua blue dress while walking barefoot on the beach with her two toddlers during a family trip to a tropical paradise.
Her dark brown locks can get blown out of her face due to the gusts of wind.
Moving on the sand towards the vast ocean, the mother-of-three looked like she was holding hands with Alexander while her youngest ran excitedly ahead.
On Friday, Silva (born Alejandra María Silva García-Baquero) shared a photo of two bouquets of flowers that she placed on a dining table, along with what appeared to be birthday cards next to each of them.
She then posted a picture of the festive birthday balloons she received, including three large gold ones, “HBD [happy birthday]’, sitting between a selection of gold and purple balloons.
In the background, more flowers were placed on a chair not far from the sliding glass door that led to a patio area.
For part of her birthday, Silva and her boys enjoyed pizza for lunch on the waterfront, topped off with a special miniature cake, according to Us Weekly.
“Birthday dinner in paradise,” she captioned the Instagram story snapshot on Thursday.
Gere and Silva, a publicist and political activist, dated for about three years before deciding to exchange vows in an intimate civil ceremony in April 2018.

Considering the couple has a 33-year age difference, Silva revealed the Pretty Woman star had promised her he’d be around long enough to see their two children grow up and grow up.
“He promised me at least 20 good years!” she said before sharing how Gere at 73 still has the energy of a young man. “But I have to admit that he has a lot more energy than me, is a lot more active. It’s hard to keep up with him. … He is not human!’
