Ryan Reynolds was spotted Monday filming a scene for his new movie Imaginary Friends in New York City.
The 45-year-old actor walked down 6th Avenue in a dapper ensemble surrounded by a group of co-stars. One of the actors wore a metal ring connected to a black backpack with a large yellow smiley face on it.
The star was later spotted chatting with his director, John Krasinski.

For his role, Reynolds wore a houndstooth vest, buttoned shirt with rolled-up sleeves, blue dress pants, gray hat, and black and white leather shoes.
The Free Guy actor appeared to be in good spirits, smiling as he walked through the crowd. For one of the recordings, he held a folder with “Top Secret” written on the front.
The plot of the new film follows a man who can see and interact with imaginary friends. The character encounters several forgotten friends who have turned evil over time and begins working to help them, saving them from themselves.
The project is a tour de force of sorts for Krasinski, who is writing the film, directing, starring in and producing the film with Reynolds.

Carell recently spoke to Entertainment Tonight and told the media outlet that he’s excited to reunite with his former The Office co-star.
“I just expect joy and fun. I mean he’s the best and he’s a great director,” he said.
According to Variety, Imaginary Friends will be released on November 17, 2023.

In a hilarious teaser video earlier this week, the proposal star – who plays salacious superhero Deadpool in the Marvel film series – announced that Hugh Jackman, 53, would be starring in the upcoming Deadpool 3.
At the end of the clip, he admits he has a great idea that fans will love. Hugh then nonchalantly enters the scene in the background and heads up the stairs.
Ryan asks him, “Hey, Hugh. Do you want to play Wolverine again?’
Hugh casually replies, “Yeah sure Ryan” as he walks by and heads up the stairs.
Marvel fans on social media broke out over the announcement, with one writing, “Thanks for coming back,” while another wrote, “Bravo Hugh!”

Hugh made his debut as Wolverine in the 2000 film X-Men and last followed in Wolverine’s footsteps in Logan five years ago.
On Aug. 25, Reynolds took to Instagram to pay tribute to his wife, Blake, as they celebrated her 35th birthday.
“Happy Birthday @blakelively. you are spectacular I’m not sure if you were born or made up,” commented Ryan, who included a slideshow of snaps with the Gossip Girl actress.

Blake is pregnant with her fourth child with the actor and the couple are hoping for a boy for their fourth child. The Gossip Girl alum and the Deadpool star celebrated their tenth wedding anniversary this September.
