Sean “Diddy” Combs will NOT attend the 2024 Grammys despite his album being nominated due to allegations of sexual assault

Sean “Diddy” Combs will not attend the 2024 Grammys due to sexual assault allegations against him.

The 54-year-old rapper will skip next month's awards show on February 4, despite being nominated in the Best Progressive R&B Album category for The Love Album: Off the Grid.

According to a report from The Hollywood Reporter published on Friday, he was not uninvited, but declined to attend due to the seriousness of the allegations.

Back in November, less than a week after the Grammy nominations were announced, Cassie sued her former record label boss and ex-boyfriend, claiming he had physically and sexually abused her during their decade-long relationship.

The former couple quickly resolved the case in the end, but additional lawsuits from other women have surfaced – all of which Diddy has “vehemently” denied.

According to legal documents accompanying Cassie's lawsuit, she claimed that Diddy was “prone to uncontrollable anger and frequently brutally beat Ms. Ventura.”

The bombshell case was dismissed just a day later when she reached a settlement with the rapper – with whom Cassie had an on-off relationship from 2007 to 2018.

In a statement she shared with Page Six in the following days, she said: “I have decided to resolve this matter amicably on the condition that I have some degree of control.”

“I would like to thank my family, fans and advocates for their unwavering support,” she added.

Around the same time, Diddy made a similar separate statement.

“We have decided to resolve this matter amicably,” the record producer said. “I wish Cassie and her family all the best. Love.”

Cassie also agreed to dismiss her case “without prejudice and without costs or fees to either party.”

However, there were further allegations and lawsuits against women who alleged that he had also sexually abused them.
