In 1990 the actor JeanClaude Van Damme played the role of the character Lyon Gaultier in the film “White Lion The Lawless Fighter”.
The plot follows the trajectory of a soldier who, after murdering his brother, leaves the Foreign Legion and travels to the United States to help his widowed sisterinlaw. He starts participating in street fights to get money.
Among his opponents in the film is Attila, a fighter of great skill. The character was played by the Moroccan actor and former boxer Abdel Qissi. He was born on January 20, 1960 and is currently 63 years old.
He was born in Oujda, Morocco. After moving to Belgium, he made a career in the ring in the ’80s, scoring five wins, two by KO, one draw and two losses.
He met Van Damme through his brother Michel Qissi and acted alongside him in several films. He stood as a candidate in the municipality of Ixelles in the 2006 Belgian municipal elections, but was not elected.
