Sharon Stone, the well-known 65-year-old actress, shared her diverse experiences navigating the world of online dating. In an interview with the British newspaper The Times, the protagonist of Bajos Instintos described how she encountered both strange and worrying situations in her search for love, including an encounter with a man who turned out to be a convicted felon and another who was noticeably affected by his drug addiction.
First, Stone didn't provide many details, but of the addict, the actress said he looked like “a heroin addict who's clearly had 20,000 more heroin injections than the photo he sent me.” Apparently the man was attractive enough (before the drugs) for Sharon to accept a date with him. They saw each other in the garden of the Bel Air Hotel and the subject's current appearance made Sharon uneasy almost from the first second. However, Stone decided to give it a try, but when the waiter offered them a drink, the actress realized that going on this date hadn't been a good idea.
“I tell the waiter, 'I'm having a glass of water.' He was drinking a cocktail: absinthe or something like that. And I said, 'I'm sorry I can't stay',” revealed Sharon, who immediately left the luxury hotel.

Sharon said she was often the therapist for dates she got through the apps. Although that wasn't the point of creating a Bumble account, the actress shared that it's worth it to help these people overcome difficult moments in their past and/or present.
“(I met a man) whose wife told him she wanted a divorce and they had two small children. He had a hard time processing it. And (the other) had broken up with his girlfriend. She had gotten pregnant and instead of getting married she had an abortion… He was still very much in love with her and I helped him deal with that. It was very enjoyable for both of us.. I don't know how to explain it.”

Unlike other celebrities, Sharon has no intention of hiding her identity on these applications. In fact, Bumble suspended her account because they believed she was an identity thief. With this in mind, Stone posted a tweet urging the app: “wasn't exclusive to her“ and to let them be “part of the hive”.
Stone assured that he wasn't looking for anything specific, reiterating that things generally happen naturally without you noticing. However, he has been careful not to involve his partners with his children unless it is something very serious (which hasn't happened). The painter and writer also shared that her way of dealing with this is to limit herself to only seeing her potential partner during visits to their home countries. In the event that they agree to a trek across the United States, the actress continues to analyze the attitude of the suitor who disappoints her at this point, long before her children even find out about the relationship.

During the interview, Stone also recalled her childhood, where she was recognized as a gifted child. Unfortunately, this didn't stop a schoolmate, who calls the famous actress “the most popular in the class,” from slapping her in front of the entire class. The incident happened when Sharon was just five years old, but it still haunts her to this day.
“Still hurts. I could start crying right now. Becoming a movie star didn't make it any less painful. And because I was pretty, it didn't hurt any less. I'm still the fragile girl who got slapped, sees it as an insecurity in my life and goes to parties thinking people won't like me. That's why I don't like going anywhere. That's why I'm so shy“.
