Influencer Sophie Cachia is officially in a long-distance relationship after her WNBL star fiancée Maddie Garrick moved to Italy for work.
Maddie, 30, moved to Florence last month after signing with local basketball club Polisportiva A. Galli Basket, leaving Sophie in Melbourne with her two children, daughter Florence, five, and son Bobby, eight.
Ahead of Maddie’s departure, Sophie, 32, shared a heartfelt Instagram post in which she insisted their new long-distance romance was a tragedy.

“I named my daughter Florence because it’s my favorite city in the world. With our strong belief in how the universe works in this magical world, your move to Florence further cements the fact that you have always been a part of my story,” she wrote.
“My children find comfort and trust in you, which makes me sure I did something right in life – and you are. Sad of course. But I am very happy that you are fulfilling a lifelong dream,” added the sleepwear entrepreneur.
Sophie ended her post with a bittersweet message about how much Maddie will be missed by her family.
